NEWSROOM INTEGRITY CHARTER ● STRICT COMMERCIAL FIREWALL

Editorial standards and independence

Editorial independence is non-negotiable. Commercial compensation, affiliate arrangements, and advertising partnerships never influence our story selection, investigative findings, or review verdicts.

The FomoNewZ Editorial Policy establishes the mandatory standards of accuracy, independence, fairness, and transparency governing all journalism, research, and analysis published by our newsroom.

FomoNewZ separates newsroom conclusions from advertising, affiliate links and press-release submissions. A commercial relationship must be disclosed and does not guarantee coverage or a favorable conclusion.

These rules describe the standard readers should expect and the record editors should maintain on every published page.

01

1. Source selection and corroboration

Use the most direct source that can establish the claim. A protocol release may be established by signed release notes; a regulatory action by the regulator's order or docket; a public-company event by a filed disclosure.

Use a second independent source when one record cannot establish the material fact, when the source has a direct interest in the claim, or when the story depends on interpretation rather than a discrete public record.

Social posts and screenshots may identify a lead. They are not substitutes for the underlying document, transaction or attributable statement.

02

2. Separation of Editorial and Commercial Operations

FomoNewZ enforces strict separation between the editorial newsroom and commercial sales. Sponsored content, advertising campaigns, and affiliate arrangements are strictly firewalled.

  • Advertisers and commercial partners never receive pre-publication copy reviews or editorial approval rights.
  • Sponsored articles or commercial advertorials are never published under editorial or newsroom bylines.
  • Commercial affiliate compensation never determines the ranking, inclusion, or rating of any product evaluated by our research desks.
  • Commercial links are explicitly labeled so readers can always distinguish between editorial research and commercial monetization.
03

3. Conflicts of Interest & Personal Disclosures

Contributors must disclose financial or commercial interests that could reasonably affect their work. Editors decide whether disclosure, reassignment or recusal is appropriate.

  • Contributors may not trade on material non-public information obtained through reporting.
  • A direct holding, employment relationship or paid engagement relevant to a story must be disclosed to the editor.
  • A published disclosure is required when a reasonable reader would consider the interest material.
04

4. Assisted research and automation safeguards

Software may assist with market-data retrieval, transcription, translation, formatting and research organization. It does not replace source review or editorial responsibility.

  • A human editor or responsible organizational desk remains accountable for every published claim.
  • Automated output must be verified against the cited primary source before publication.
  • Synthetic imagery or translated passages are reviewed to ensure factual fidelity.
05

5. The Corrections & Retractions Protocol

Our commitment to accuracy includes an obligation to acknowledge and correct factual errors swiftly and transparently. We do not stealth-edit stories.

When a material error occurs, our editors append a permanent, dated correction note at the bottom of the article detailing the original wording, the corrected statement, and the reason for the update.

If a breaking report is proven to be based on forged documents or deceptive sources, the headline is updated with [RETRACTED] and an editor's memorandum explains the evidentiary failure.

TRANSPARENCY & AUDIT

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Standards

Direct, audited answers from the FomoNewZ editorial board regarding our verification protocols, conflict registers, and scoring rubrics.

Can a crypto foundation or exchange pay for a positive news article?

No. Paid editorial coverage is strictly forbidden. Any commercial content must be explicitly labeled as sponsored and is kept separate from our journalism and product ratings.

How does FomoNewZ handle breaking news when documents are not yet public?

When breaking events unfold rapidly, we distinguish between confirmed facts and provisional reports. We state what is known, attribute claims to named sources, and explicitly mention what remains unconfirmed.

What is your policy regarding anonymous sources?

We only grant anonymity when a source has direct firsthand knowledge, faces genuine personal or legal risk, and their information can be corroborated by secondary documentation or independent records.

How quickly are factual corrections processed?

High-priority factual corrections affecting asset prices, legal actions, or exploit losses are investigated immediately, with correction notices typically published within hours of verification.

Do affiliate partnerships influence product comparison tables?

Never. Products are benchmarked strictly against our 5-pillar rubric. A product with poor custody or security will receive a low score or disqualification flag regardless of any affiliate relationship.

How are generative AI and automated tools regulated in your newsroom?

AI tools may assist with data scraping, translation, or grammar checks, but human journalists and editors must independently verify all facts, verify calculations, and approve final copy before publication.
